PRAYER FORCE

"Likewise the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses.

For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought,

but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us

with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26, 27

Monday, August 3

"The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You." Psalm 9:10, 11

Let's pray Numbers 6:24-26 from the Amplified Bible for our pastor and his family this week:

"The LORD bless you and keep, protect, guard, and sustain you; the LORD make His face shine upon you with favor and be gracious to you, surrounding you with lovingkindness; the LORD lift up His face upon you with divine approval and give you tranquil hearts and lives."

Pray for Rodney & Alice York

Through the Bible in 1 year: Judges 17, Acts 21, Jeremiah 30-31, Mark 16

Through the Bible in 2 years: Numbers 31:25-54, Matthew 15:1-20

Tuesday, August 4

"I lift up my eyes to You, to You whose throne is in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till He shows us His mercy." Psalm 119:1,2

We are asked to pray for churches being affected by the Ebola outbreak in the DRC: " Many people don't seek help soon enough, or refuse to change their burial customs, allowing the disease to spread rapidly." Several local pastors have died from the disease making it difficult to attain help for orphans and others in need. A local ministry has trained over 150 churches, now, in the proper response to Ebola.  Pray that many lives and souls will be saved through these churches' help.

Pray for David & Jennifer Albertson (Bulawsky) and new baby Chloe

1 yr Bible: Judges 18, Acts 22, Jeremiah 32, Psalm 1-2

Wednesday, August 5

"But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children's children--with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts." Psalm 103:17, 18

Praise God for His everlasting love and His righteousness for us, our children, and our 'children's children'. Praise God for His astounding goodness to us and those we love. Ask that we will be faithful to His Word in all our actions and words.

Pray for David & Daryl Black

People like Kashif have online ministries in closed countries that are reaching multitudes. Pray along with him, "Lord, bless every secret message, every whispered verse, every digital encounter that carries Your truth. Multiply these ministries so that seekers scrolling in darkness encounter the light of Christ."

Dear Lord, we are so grateful for our little church, for the people in it. We rejoice in the privilege we have to come together each week in Your Name. We ask, Father, that You would enlarge our hearts and enable us to love You and others more and more.

Pray for Amina, an 18-year-old single mother in Chad, who was abandoned by her Muslim husband who couldn't reconcile their different faiths. Living with her infant son David in her mother's compound, she faces poverty while clinging to her Christian faith, strengthened by her audio Bible in the Kenga language. Pray for provision and that she and her baby would be blessed by lives immersed in the word of God.
