Monday, February 16
"For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth." Malachi 2:7
Pray for our pastor that he will counsel and teach with discernment through the wise use of Scripture and faith in God's power to work. Pray that he will be protected from the effects of sinful or negative attitudes that he encounters as he counsels.

Tuesday, February 17
North Korea: A small number of believers have access to hidden Bibles- buried in the ground and concealed in other places. Pray that these hidden Bibles will stay hidden and used to build up and empower the body of Christ there. Ask that Christians who no longer have access to a Bible will remember Scripture they once heard or read.

Wednesday, February 18
"But when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd." Matthew 9:36
Lord, Your very nature is compassion. Help us and help our children, Lord, to see the world through Your eyes, to love the unlovely, the dirty, the homeless, the addicted, the aged. Help us extend forgiveness and mercy to those who don't seem to deserve it. Help us to serve others with Your heart of compassion.

Thursday, February 19
Kyrgystan: Pray for Yildan and his daughter. Secret police picked him up and interrogated him about distributing Christian literature.During the interrogation he courageously shared his desire that others would come to know the true and living God. He was fined $625 and now his family lives under surveillance and scrutiny by the authorities. Pray for their perseverance and witness.
"I do not hide Your righteousness in my heart; I speak of Your faithfulness and salvation. I do not conceal Your love and Your truth from the great assembly." Psalm 40:10

Remember to pray for our people who are ministering in the Philippines this week, that they would be used mightily of the Lord and that each one would come home having a deeper personal relationship with Him.
