Monday, September 28
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5-6 "Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counsel" Psalm 119:24
Heavenly Father, please grant Divine wisdom to our pastor and his wife. Guard them from relying on human understanding. Please increase their delight in Your word and help them fully rely on the truth and wisdom found there. Bless Pastor Sam as he studies and prepares for teaching and preaching. Lead him in the direction You desire for him and our congregation.

"O LORD my God, in You I put my trust; save me from all those who persecute me; and deliver me, lest they tear me like a lion, rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver." Psalm 7:1, 2
Father, give divine wisdom to every secret pastor and disciple-maker in southeast Asia and across the Muslim world. Guide their words, and let the hidden church grow strong in grace and discernment. May they "be as shrewd as serpents and as innocent as doves." Fill them with the comfort and guidance and gifts of Your Holy Spirit.

Wednesday, September 30
"So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding...that there may be no division...but that members have the same care for one another." (Romans 14:19, 1 Corinthians 12:25) Dear Lord, we ask that You would protect our families from divisions and misunderstandings. We ask that You would make each one of us forgiving, peace-making people, especially in our homes and with our loved ones.

Nigeria: Pray for Pastor Josiah who lost his wife and three sons in extremist attacks. He asks us to pray this prayer with him: "Lord, be our
encourager...Be ever close to us." Pray that all those who are grieving the loss of loved ones martyred for their faith will know and experience His 'nearness to the brokenhearted.'

Friday, October 2

Pray for all those struggling with depression to experience the sweet presence of Jesus. Pray from Ephesians 1:18 that 'the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened; that they may know what is the hope of His calling.' Pray that each one would encounter an encouraging believer and would find information to help them.
