Let's pray Titus 2:7 & 8 for Pastor Sam and Bethany: "May they in all things show themselves to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of them."

"But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord; in You I take refuge; do not leave my soul destitute. Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity." Psalm 141:8, 9
Dear Jesus, strengthen those like Zayd who have lost family, comfort, and position for Your name. Remind them that what they gain in You is far greater than anything left behind. Comfort them and let them feel Your presence in their solitude and know that You have welcomed them into Your everlasting family.

Wednesday, August 26
"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing." 2 Corinthians 2:14-15
Pray that no matter what happens today, we, those who bear Jesus' name, will diffuse the fragrance of Christ and experience the victory He has planned for us. Pray that any unbelievers around us will sense Jesus in us.

Thursday, August 27
(undisclosed country) Khadija was bound in chains of fear and tradition, but met Jesus in a dream and experienced freedom and joy. Thank God for His wonderful works and pray that she and others like her will have the courage to live in integrity before God. Pray they will be given wisdom to remain safe, and that truth will replace deception and draw many around them to faith in Christ.

Let's pray for our young people today from Psalm 119 that : God would help them restrain their feet from every evil way that they may keep His word; that the Word of God would be sweet to their taste, sweeter than honey to their mouths and that they may hate every false way. (verses 101, 103, 104)

Saturday, August 29
Syria: There is real fear of increased Islamic radicalization . Pray that the Lord would cast out all fear, and that He would draw potential extremists to Himself. Pray for Hanan who asks " Pray for us to be safe, to see our children growing up, and to be happy here." Pray that they would not live lives of fear.
"I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; the upright shall dwell in Your presence." Psalm 140: 12, 13
