Heavenly Father, we pray for joy for our pastor, his wife, and his children using Psalm 5:11 & 12: "But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield."

Jesus, be near to those exiled for Your name. Heal hearts torn from family and home. Bless these believers and their children will especially strong faith in Your goodness and Your word.

Lord, we ask for Your anointing upon our worship leader. We pray for good health for him and his family. We pray Your Spirit would lead him as he chooses each week's songs. Let the music be a vehicle for Your Presence. Let every song be used to usher Your people into a genuine encounter with You.

Father God, we pray for the parents in our congregation who have children in their homes that they will train their children with humility, mercy, and compassion, balanced with uncompromising firmness according to Biblical standards: correcting, rebuking, and encouraging with great patience and careful instruction. (2 Timothy 4:2b) Grant each child the humility to receive instruction that they might be 'at home among the wise'. (Proverbs 15:31)

Pray that God would reveal to us any resentment or anger we may be harboring toward other people, especially in our families or our congregation. Pray that God would pour His refreshing and healing peace and His tender, understanding love into our minds, hearts, and emotions, causing His forgiveness to flow from us to others.
