Monday, April 6
Let's pray Hebrews 13:20, 21 for our pastor and his wife today: "May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in you what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen."

Tuesday, April 7
Afghanistan's women are painfully oppressed by the government. They can't go to school past the 6th grade, are barred from most jobs, can't leave the house without a man, and can be executed immediately if they come to Christ. Ariana escaped Afghanistan, but is under constant threat of being sent back. Pray that God will surround these women with His love and protection and that they will find true freedom in Him.
"He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God." Psalm 62:6, 7

Wednesday, April 8
"O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory." Psalm 63
Lord, today we lift up friends and family who for one reason or another are not willing to attend church regularly. We ask that they would thirst and long for You like the psalmist and find their wholeness in You. We pray also for those whose jobs or physical limitations prevent them from attending. We ask that You would provide Christian fellowship and teaching to fill their souls.

Thursday, April 9
Pray for Kamelia in Algeria, and other believers like her who must live out their faith in the shadows. She asks us to pray for insight, patience and faith, as her parents have begun to suspect her. "Everyone in my family prays the Muslim prayers except me," she says.
"Hear my voice, O God, in my meditation; preserve my life from fear of the enemy." Psalm 64:1

Friday, April 10
"We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing." 2 Thessalonians 1:3
Pray for the marriages, singles, and families in our church that our faith would grow abundantly and our love for one another would be increasing.

Saturday, April 11
Sierra Leone: A newly planted church held its first baptismal service in a nearby river. By the time the congregation reached the river the sun was setting and it was hard to see. Fortunately, a guest had arrived on a motorcycle, so by its headlight 31 new believers were baptized! They were given audio Bibles in a neighboring language which resulted in even greater joy in the believers. Pray for their protection and that their faith would grown exponentially.
