PRAYER FORCE

"How precious to me are Your thoughts, God!

How vast is the sum of them!

Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand"

Psalm 139:17

Monday, May 4

Let's pray Psalm 32:8 and 2 Timothy 2:21 for our pastor today: "Please construct him, Lord, and teach him in the way he should go...counsel him and watch over him. May he be a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

Pray for Dave & Carolyn Boettcher

Through the Bible in 1 year: Numbers 11, Psalm 48, Isaiah 1, Hebrews 9

Through the Bible in 2 years: Exodus 28:6-43, Luke 8:9-18

Afghanistan:  If an Afghan woman's faith is discovered, her life and her family can be in grave danger. Ask God to fill them with peace when fear or doubt arises. Pray that they would be beacons of light in a very dark place. Pray that their children and husbands would follow them in receiving Jesus.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and we have a priceless inheritance kept in heaven for you." 1 Peter 1:3-4

Pray for Claudia Box

1 yr: Numbers 12-13, Psalm 49, Isaiah 2, Hebrews 10

2 yr: Exodus 29:1-46, 2 Corinthians 1:1-11

Wednesday, May 6

"No one is able to come to Me unless the Father who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me." John 6:44

Heavenly Father, we implore You to send Your Holy Spirit and attract and draw our lost loved ones to You. Please give each one of them the desire to come to Jesus soon."

Pray for Mitch & Julie Bulawsky

1 yr: Numbers 14, Psalm 50, Isaiah 3-4, Hebrews 11

2 yr: Exodus 30:1-33, 2 Corinthians 1:12-2:4

Thursday, May 7

Today's National Day of Prayer's theme is taken from 1 Chronicles 16:24 "Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples."

The United States has historically been the most instrumental nation in spreading the gospel around the world, sending out significantly more missionaries than any other country. As we pray for our own country this day, let us all renew our focus in being part of the Great Commission Jesus gave us. May reception of the Gospel immerse America and spread abroad exponentially.

Pray for Lois Bell

1 yr: Numbers 15, Psalm 51, Isaiah 5, Hebrews 12

2 yr: Exodus 30:34-31:18

Friday, May 8

Yemen:  Majed has several Christian friends who have been arrested amid a government crackdown on the Church. He is feverishly memorizing Bible passages in preparation to be imprisoned. Pray for him and others in the same situation--that their hunger and thirst for the Word and ability to hide it in their hearts would be supernatural. Pray that fear won't prevent them from letting their Light shine.

"But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." Psalm 1:2, 3

Pray for Steve & Freda Bybee

1 yr: Numbers 16, Psalm 52-54, Isaiah 6, Hebrews 13

2 yr: Exodus 32:1-35

Saturday, May 9

"They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them." Jeremiah 32:38, 39

Pray for families in our church that they would be united in following the LORD. Pray that each child and young person would grow like Jesus did "in wisdom and in stature and in favor with both God and man". Pray that the fruit of the Spirit "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control" would be abundantly evident in each home.

Pray for Brian & Charity Callis, Abigail, Hope, Hanna and Lilja
