As we pray for our pastor this week let's use 1 Peter 1:15 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17: "May he be holy in all his conduct, just as You who called him are holy and may he rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus."

Tuesday, April 21
Syria- It's been a year since the Syrian government fell, and church leaders tell us that Christians are living in a climate of fear. Violent words threatening to kill Christians have been written on church walls and Christian areas. Pray for their protection and peace and that believers would continue to find strength to endure in this environment.
"In You, O LORD, I put my trust; let me never be put to shame. Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; incline Your ear to me, and save me. Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually.." Psalm 71:1-3a

Pray for our young people that the LORD will keep their going out and their coming in from this time forth and forevermore (Psalm 121:8), that they would be kept from the evil one (John 17:15), and that God's had would lead them and hold them (Psalm 139:10)

Cameroon: The Far North of Cameroon is an incredibly dangerous place for Christians. Each week, Pastors Mamoud and Manza go back to their former homes in this region to preach to and care for their flock. Pray for protection from Boko Haram raids and wisdom for the pastors.

Pray for the parents in our congregation to be men and women of prayer and worship, leading their children to walk in a close relationship with the Father. Ask God to put a hedge of protection around their marriages.

Nicaragua: Pray for church leaders who face arbitrary arrest and detention. Pray for strength for them and their families. Ask God to give courage and wisdom for churches that are under surveillance by the authorities.
